Many people find it paradoxical that an atheist might choose to celebrate Christmas.  Some appear to be offended when I wish them a Merry Christmas in all sincerity.  Why either should be the case is beyond me.  I celebrate Christmas with only the secular trappings and appeals to selfless giving that partially characterize the season.
